What I've learned

What you’ve learned this semester?
I’ve learned to develop in a better way my statements and my themes, and I’m now more confident about speaking English, also I started to know more about the nature of idioms, the meaning of them and the use. Also something that interested me a lot was the history of English language; I learned that the English is also a language made of a lot of different languages, and also to debate different subjects with the other students and to defend my position over a subject.
Connection of this class with real life:
I can use this class learn how to have better conversations with other people of other countries where the English is the first language, to have better conversations instead of rigid statements as only asking name and how they are.
How can the content of this class make you more successful?
I can make me more successful in the understanding of the language as an example could be that the people of other countries that have the English as the principal language they make use of different idioms that before this class I didn’t knew their existence, so this will help me to be more successful to understand other’s ideas.
What other kind of activities would you like to do?
I would like more movies to understand different ways and pronunciations of English and the use of them in different cultures to compare them to all the studies we have in the classroom also movies about the history of English to understand how it developed in Britain and in other countries.
